MEDICAL CANNABIS CONSULTATION

Medical cannabis is a unique therapy with amazing potential and has emerged as an important therapeutic option for patients with a variety of medical conditions. If you are a candidate, a certificate will be prescribed which you may then use to obtain your medical cannabis card from NY state. We are not a dispensary, however we currently refer our patients to local dispensaries in the area.

People diagnosed with one of the following conditions (and whom experience clinically associated symptoms) may qualify for treatment involving medical cannabis:

• Cancer

• Chronic Pain

• HIV infection or AIDS

• Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)

• Parkinson’s Disease

• Multiple Sclerosis

• Spinal cord injury with spasticity

• Epilepsy

• Inflammatory Bowel Disease

• Neuropathy

• Huntington’s disease

• Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

• Other future conditions as specified by the commissioner

• Cachexia, a.k.a. Wasting Syndrome

• Severe or chronic pain

• Severe nausea

• Seizures

• Severe or persistent muscle spasms

In addition to the medical issues listed above, New York State has recently expanded its medical cannabis eligibility for those seeking benefits. You may be eligible for the use of medical cannabis if deemed clinically appropriate by your certifying health care provider.
